We value your safety

When you visit a worship service at Church in the Palms, you will be welcomed with warm hospitality by people want to help keep you safe.

In January 2022, our Leadership Team developed a pandemic plan that changed based on the level of community transmission here in Palm Beach County.

Since then, experts have developed an even more precise way to determine the level of virus transmission in a local population by tracking three metrics:

  • new COVID-19 admissions per 100,000 population in the past 7 days
  • the percent of staffed inpatient beds occupied by COVID-19 patients
  • total new COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population in the past 7 days

Using these metrics, the CDC classifies each county’s COVID-19 community level as LOW, MEDIUM, or HIGH. The CDC updates this classification every Thursday on the following website:

Between April 10 - July 10, our leaders will continue to use Palm Beach County’s community transmission level to guide us as we gather for worship services and other meetings.

When the transmission level is LOW, MEDIUM, or HIGH:

We will continue to thoroughly clean the facility regularly.

We will continue to run air sanitizers in the Sanctuary.

We will continue to not pass items from person to person.

When the transmission level is MEDIUM:

We will socially distance chairs.

We will post some of the Center for Disease Control’s most current recommendations for the MEDIUM transmission level on our screens and Sanctuary doors.

When the transmission level is HIGH:

We will communicate some of the Center for Disease Control’s most current recommendations for the HIGH transmission level verbally, on our screens, and on our Sanctuary doors. These recommendations currently include wearing a well-fitting mask. Therefore, if the transmission level reaches HIGH in Palm Beach County, we would request that everyone wear a face covering.

When we wear masks it helps protect others, especially our most vulnerable members and guests.

Children under 2 years of age would not need to wear a face covering.
