We value your safety

When you visit a worship service at Church in the Palms, you will be welcomed with warm hospitality by people want to help keep you safe.

Our Leadership Team has developed a pandemic plan that changes based on the level of community transmission of the coronavirus here in Palm Beach County.

The CDC utilizes the following metrics to determine the level of local transmission:

 - new COVID-19 admissions per 100,000 population in the past 7 days

 - the percent of staffed inpatient beds occupied by COVID-19 patients

 - total new COVID-19 cases per 100,000 population in the past 7 days

Using these metrics, the CDC classifies each county’s COVID-19 community level as LOW, MEDIUM, or HIGH. The CDC updates this classification every Thursday on the following website:

From July 10 - October 9, our staff will use Palm Beach County’s community level to guide us as we gather for worship services and other meetings.

When the transmission level is LOW, MEDIUM, or HIGH:

We will continue to thoroughly clean the facility regularly and run air sanitizers in the Sanctuary.

When the transmission level is MEDIUM:

We won't pass items from person to person.

We will post some of the Center for Disease Control’s most current recommendations for MEDIUM transmission level on our screens and lobby table.

When the transmission level is HIGH:

We won't pass items from person to person.

We will post some of the Center for Disease Control’s most current recommendations for HIGH transmission level on our screens and lobby table. These recommendations currently include wearing a well-fitting mask. You may know that when people wear face coverings, it helps protect others!

We notify our church family when our county enters a HIGH level of transmission, or exits that HIGH level. This notification is given via text, email, and shared verbally during the next worship service.

Children under 2 years of age do not need to wear face coverings.
