FOSTER CARE

Church in the Palms is joining churches across Palm Beach County and Church United as we bless foster children. We have "adopted" Sandra, a teenage girl in the foster care system, and we invite you to pray that Sandra will find a forever home every time you see her picture in our lobby.

10 WAYS YOU CAN BLESS A FOSTER FAMILY

  • get groceries

Dropping off a bag of groceries or giving a Publix Gift Card to a foster family can be a great blessing when time and money may be tight.

  • pray

Praying for a foster family daily as your own family unit is more powerful than we can imagine! Prayer not only works miracles in the lives of those we pray for, but in our own as well.

  • clean their home

Coming back to a clean home is a joy to foster families who have a lot on their plate!

  • MOW THE LAWN

(Or you can have your teenager do it!)

  • Cover a financial need

It could be as simple as buying a tank of gas or as important as a month of rent.

  • drop off a home cooked meal

Not having to worry about preparing a meal once the day's many tasks are done is an incredible relief to foster families.

  • donate

Athletic equipment, school supplies, diapers, toys, and clothes are just a few of the many things you can donate to a foster family who needs these everyday items.

  • provide car or home maintenance

If you are skilled in car repair or home maintenance, that is a great way to serve foster families who may not have the access or resources to stay on top of those little (and big) fixes.

  • Pick up and drop off

Picking up and dropping off a foster child from school, church, sports, and extracurricular events can give the foster parents more time to finish last minute chores, prepare a meal, or just unwind.

  • Babysit

Foster parents need date nights. Babysitting can give them the night they need to relax and recover from a stressful week and be refreshed for the days ahead.
